The Detmold Group, a leading Australian manufacturer of packaging products were looking for an innovative way to let people create and print their own designs on cups & bags. Working closely with them I created the branding and new website for ‘Cup & Carry’.

We found most printing websites were old fashioned, overly complex and lacking transparency with costs, often requiring days to get quotes back. After purchase it’s usually hard to know where your order is and when it will be delivered. Taking all this into consideration the brand needed to modern, fun and offer a sophisticated, simple and fast way to create cups/bags, check out and integrate directly into their printing pipelines for a smoother customer experience.

After designing the initial brand, wireframes and designs I worked with our developers to use webGL technology to create a 3D environment where the customer could upload or create their bags/cups and in real time see what they’d look like in 3D. A simple way to add the cart was designed which showed the prices as they made any changes. After purchase, high quality print-ready files were sent directly into the production line and ensured that the customer received their creations as quickly as possible!
